We have some important news for Microsoft 365, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland. On August 31st, Microsoft announced important changes to the way they license these products in the EEA and Switzerland.
Starting from October 1st, Microsoft will roll out a fresh lineup for commercial Microsoft 365 and Office 365 suites in areas where Teams was not previously available. Additionally, they are introducing a standalone Teams option for Enterprise customers. It's important to note that these changes won't affect our existing subscribers. For new subscribers interested in Office/Microsoft 365 Enterprise suites with Teams, they will need to purchase two SKUs: one specific to the EEA Microsoft 365 or Office 365 suite and Microsoft Teams EEA.
With the introduction of this new commercial lineup, Microsoft will discontinue the current Enterprise suites with Teams for new subscribers. As a result, Office 365 E1, Office 365 E3, Office 365 E5, and Microsoft 365 E5 suites with Teams will no longer be available for new subscribers in the EEA and Switzerland.
For existing customers who are currently subscribed to any of these suites, there are some new options. You can continue to use, renew, and add seats to your current plans as usual. Alternatively, if you're interested in transitioning to the new lineup, you can do so on your contract anniversary or renewal.
