Intercept helps CCI Groep with the modernization of their platform Livits.

For more than a decade, CCI Groep has been helping professional organizations with a membership software package through the cloud-based application Livits. Over time, the software proved somewhat outdated, so it was time for a refresh. Jan van Gurp, back-end developer at CCI: "To achieve our modernization goals, we were looking for a reliable cloud partner. Intercept turned out to be a good match."

Cloud application for enhanced member communication

Livits automates the entire process around member information. The package is a combination of CRM, CMS, and DMS. About fifty industry- and sector organizations in the Netherlands and ten in Belgium use Livits software daily. The client portfolio includes ABU and Techniek Nederland.

Jan: "In the back office environment, you find personal information about members, but here you can also send newsletters and make calculations for contributions." According to Jan, the platform is comprehensive. This also means that Livits' end users are diverse: from communication professionals to financial advisors.

Modernize and manage with Intercept

In 2019, CCI Groep had plans to modernize Livits. To accomplish these ambitions, they were looking for a suitable cloud partner. Via Microsoft Netherlands, CCI ended up with Intercept. After a meeting at the office in Breda and a cloud design that gave a lot of confidence, CCI decided to go with Intercept. "Now we are two years further, and Intercept still regularly gives us advice on modernizing our web app. In addition, they now also manage our Azure environment," says Jan.

Login and connect with external identity parties

"We are about to roll out the new login portal for our customers that we developed based on substantive advice from Intercept," tells Jan with excitement. This new environment is developed as a web app in Azure, ensuring that Microsoft maintains part of the code that runs in Azure, so the management is no longer with Livits. Jan adds, "The biggest advantage of this new login for the customers is that they can now also connect external identity parties, for example, a Microsoft account or LinkedIn."

A worthwhile collaboration with great results

Livits has made progress but is not done modernizing for the time being. "We plan to start using more functionalities of Azure," says Jan. That they are continuing to use Azure is a certainty. "We are better off in the public cloud, and not only that, we are convinced that a good cloud partner can help you further. That's how we experience it with Intercept," said Frank van de Vinne, Managing Director.

Intercept will continue to provide Livits with long-term modernization advice. Frank: "Intercept has helped us with insight regarding the Azure costs. As a result, we have realized savings in this area. In addition, the setup of our platform is now a lot more structured, allowing us to work more efficiently."
