Data Protection Policy

Rights

Data protection legislation provides various rights for customers with regard to the processing of personal data, so that they can continue to exercise sufficient control over the processing of their own personal data. Intercept tries to provide as much information as possible to those involved through its current policy, in order to be as transparent as possible with regard to the processing of personal data. Intercept understands that customers may have further questions or require additional clarifications regarding the processing of their personal data. Intercept therefore understands the importance of the rights, and will comply with these rights, taking into account the legal restrictions when exercising these rights. The different rights are described in more detail below.

Right to view

Customers have the right to obtain confirmation from Intercept as to whether or not their personal data is being processed. If processing is taking place, individuals can request access to their personal data. Intercept will inform the individuals about the following matters:

  • The processing purposes;
  • The categories of personal data concerned;
  • The recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been provided;
  • If possible, the period for which the personal data is expected to be stored;
  • Customers have the right to request that the organization correct or erase personal data, or that the processing of personal data concerning him or her be restricted, as well as the right to object to that processing;
  • Customers have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority;

Right to change

If customers identify any inaccuracies or incomplete personal data held by Intercept, they have the right to notify Intercept so that appropriate measures can be taken to correct or update this information. It is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate personal data to Intercept.

Right to be forgotten

Customers may request the deletion of their personal data if the processing does not comply with data protection laws and falls within the legal parameters (Art. 17 GDPR).

Right to transfer data

Customers have the right to receive their personal data, which they have provided to Intercept, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. This means Intercept will provide the data in a Word and/or Excel file, or another format upon consultation.
