My name is Johannes Jacobus Erasmus, but people just call me Luan. No one really knows why. I will be joining the team as a Software Engineer from September 1st.
I chose Intercept for many reasons. From the start of the interview process until the moment my job application was accepted, I got the impression that it would be a really great environment to work in. Everyone I’ve been in contact with has been very helpful and went the extra mile to answer all my questions. I’m excited to start work at Intercept and pursue my dream career to specialize in Online Development and Cloud Computing.
I’ve always been passionate about technology and development. As a result of this, I’m constantly trying to develop software that makes daily tasks easier. I have a broad skill set that includes reactjs, mongodb, .net and nodejs to name a few. I’m a quick learner that loves learning new development languages as the need arises.
In my time off I like working with my hands and building things that we want or need around the house. This ranges from coffee bean roasters, to kitchen cupboards to unique tables. I enjoy cycling to keep active and work in a golf game where I can. I am also an avid brewer and have now been brewing my own beer since 2014.
I’m excited to start this new chapter in my life and I’m looking forward to being an asset to the team. Together we’re going to take Intercept to the next level.
