Meet our new colleague: Tom Bulté

In February, Tom started as our new Strategic Marketer!

Hey Tom, tell us a little about yourself!

I started at Intercept on February 1 as a strategic marketer. With my broad knowledge and experience in online marketing, together with the existing marketing team, I will further position and give authority to online marketing at Intercept. It’s already great to be able to contribute to the growth ambitions of the organization. I live in Zwolle and, in recent years, have always worked as a marketer in the IT sector. Intercept is no stranger to me. I have followed them for several years in what the organisation does and how Intercept develops. It was, therefore, very cool that Intercept approached me to work for them!

What do you like most about your field?

Online marketing is a fantastic world that is constantly changing. Due to rapid changes, there is always something to do. The diversity of activities involved is an excellent mix of SEM (SEO & SEA), Social, Email, Content and much more. But the power of online marketing is in making it personal and human. Before someone decides, there is a whole route preceding it. During the different phases of the online search, you want to reach and inform your target audience in the best possible way. I enjoy determining the right resources for each step. You make the right choice based on the insights you develop. All this together makes the profession super fun and interesting.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to spend my free time with my family or with friends. I am also busy in and around the house. This can be anything, chores around the house or working in the garden. I enjoy making our home smarter with Home Automation, which can take quite a few evening hours. Furthermore, I love to travel. I have visited many beautiful places in Asia and South America. Eight weeks in a camper through New Zealand or three weeks hiking through the Himalayas in Nepal is also great. Every year I also go on winter sports.  I also like to watch F1 and follow people on YouTube who make interesting videos. These are usually about tech, my profession or the things I do in my spare time.

Fun fact!

I eat a banana almost every day, even though I wouldn’t say I like bananas at all.
